Getting Started
What Macky is and how to start
What is Macky?
Macky pairs AI-drafted analysis with a certified human consultant on every engagement. You buy a fixed-price, fixed-scope package, answer a short set of intake questions about your business, and Macky's agents research and draft a full deliverable — which a real consultant then reviews and signs before you receive it. Nothing goes out uncertified.
How do I start my first engagement?
From the Workspace, go to Engagements and choose a package from the catalog, or start with a free Business Health Check if you're not sure what you need. Sprint-band engagements (Pricing Review, AI-Adoption Roadmap, Go-to-Market Plan, CX Audit & Roadmap) are self-serve — you pay and start immediately, no call required.
What's the Business Health Check, and should I do it first?
It's a free, short diagnostic that scores your business across five dimensions — Customer Experience, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and AI Readiness — and flags each red, amber, or green. If a dimension comes back red or amber, Macky recommends the specific engagement most likely to fix it. It's the fastest way to figure out where to spend your first engagement if you're not already sure.
What's the difference between Chat and an Engagement?
Chat is for quick, conversational business questions — no deliverable, no consultant review, just fast advice you can act on immediately. An Engagement is a structured, certified deliverable: intake questions, a full drafted report, and a human consultant's sign-off. Use Chat to think something through; use an Engagement when you need a rigorous, defensible document you can act on or share with stakeholders.
Choosing the Right Engagement
Matching a package to your problem
Which engagement is right for me?
Match it to the problem you're trying to solve: pricing and margin questions point to the Pricing Review; deciding where and how to use AI points to the AI-Adoption Roadmap; a stalled or unclear growth plan points to the Go-to-Market Plan; customer experience or retention problems point to the CX Audit & Roadmap. If you're not sure, the free Health Check will point you at the right one based on your actual scores, not a guess.
What's the difference between Sprint and Core engagements?
Sprint engagements are fixed-scope, self-serve, and start the moment you complete intake — no call needed. Core and Transformation engagements are larger in scope and start with a scoping call so a consultant can confirm fit and tailor the approach before work begins.
Can I talk to someone before I buy a Core or Transformation engagement?
Yes — that's the point of the scoping call. Use the "Book a scoping call" action on that engagement's page, and a consultant will confirm scope and next steps with you directly before anything is charged.
Getting the Best Results
The single biggest lever you control
A real before/after from an actual engagement:
Weak
“We get some complaints about delivery.”
Strong
“Delivery delays account for ~35% of complaints, damaged items ~20%. Recent example: a customer's sofa arrived damaged and took 3 weeks to replace.”
What matters most for the quality of my deliverable?
Specificity. A vague intake answer produces a generic report; a specific one produces a report that's actually about your business — real numbers, real rankings, and real examples show up directly in the finished analysis instead of generic advice. See the comparison below.
How specific should my intake answers be?
Include real numbers wherever you have them (percentages, dollar amounts, volumes, dates), name actual products, channels, competitors, and tools rather than describing them generically, and — where relevant — paste real customer quotes, complaint text, or feedback verbatim. If a question asks for a trend ("over the last year"), give the direction and rough magnitude, not just "it's gotten worse."
What if I don't have exact numbers for some questions?
A confident estimate or range beats silence — "roughly 30%, though we don't track this precisely" is still far more useful to the agents than leaving the field vague or generic. Only fields marked required have to be filled in before the engagement can start; optional fields still meaningfully improve the result if you have anything to add.
Should I upload supporting documents?
Yes, whenever you have something relevant — a pricing sheet, a recent customer survey export, a process document, a strategy deck. Uploaded documents are read and folded directly into the drafting context alongside your intake answers, so they ground the analysis in your actual materials rather than your written summary of them.
Can I change the language of my deliverable?
Yes. Under Account → Language, set the language Macky should respond in. That preference controls both your intake questions and the language your final deliverable is drafted in — set it before you start intake if you want the whole engagement in a language other than English.

What are the stages my engagement goes through?
Every engagement moves through the same pipeline, shown on your engagement page as it happens — see the diagram below. You'll see it update automatically as each stage completes.
How long does it take?
Analysis and Drafting are automated and typically finish within minutes of completing intake. Expert Review depends on consultant availability, since a real person has to read, check, and certify the draft — most reviews are turned around well within the target SLA, and you'll be emailed the moment yours is certified.
Is a real human involved, or is it fully automated?
Both, by design. Macky's agents do the research and drafting, but no deliverable reaches you without a certified consultant claiming the review, checking it, and signing it. There is no automated or admin path to sign-off — a human consultant approving the work is the only way an engagement reaches "Signed Off."
Who certifies my deliverable, and how do I know it's trustworthy?
Every deliverable is reviewed and signed by a specific, named consultant — their name and signature date appear on the final document and on your engagement's history. Reviews are claimed first-come-first-served by qualified consultants, so you're not waiting on one specific person, but you always know exactly who certified your work.
Deliverables & Formats
What you actually receive
What do I actually receive?
A full written report as both PDF and Word (DOCX), covering your engagement's scope end to end — typically research findings, analysis, a set of core chapters specific to your engagement type, risks and mitigations, an action plan, and an executive summary.
Can I get PowerPoint or Excel versions?
Yes — once your deliverable is signed, PowerPoint (PPTX) and Excel (XLSX) exports become available alongside the PDF and DOCX, generated on demand from the same certified content so every format says exactly the same thing.
Is my draft final before it's signed?
No — anything you see before "Signed Off" is a working draft, clearly watermarked as such. Only the version a consultant certifies is your final deliverable.
If Something's Not Right
Rework and the 14-day guarantee
What if I'm not happy with the result?
You can request rework within 14 days of delivery. This restarts the engagement's drafting stage with your feedback folded in, and it goes through consultant review and sign-off again before it's redelivered.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes — every engagement includes one rework cycle within that 14-day window at no extra charge. Use it as soon as you spot something you want changed; the window is fixed from your original delivery date.
Can I request changes during review, before it's even delivered?
That decision sits with the reviewing consultant — if they see something that needs another pass before they're willing to certify it, they can send it back to drafting with feedback before it ever reaches you. Either way, nothing reaches you as final until a consultant is satisfied enough to sign it.
Team, Account & Billing
Managing your workspace
Can I invite teammates?
Yes, from the Team page. Invited teammates can be given owner, admin, or member access — owners and admins can manage billing, invite others, and upload the company logo; members can use engagements and chat.
What are the Workspace plans?
Macky offers a Free tier plus paid Workspace and Plus plans with expanded limits; Plus also includes a discount on engagement pricing. Current plan details and pricing are on the Billing page.
What's the Engagement Pass?
A prepaid credit bundle: you pay once and receive more in engagement credit than you paid, applied automatically at checkout on future engagements. Credit expires 12 months after purchase, so it's best suited to teams that know they'll run several engagements within the year.
How do I update my account details?
Go to Account to change your password or email (both are confirmed with a code sent to verify it's really you), set your language preference, or — if you're an owner or admin — upload your company logo.
How do I set my language preference?
Go to Account → Language and choose from the dropdown. This sets the language Macky replies in — chat, generated reports and exports, and engagement intake questions — but not the app's own menus and buttons, which stay in English. Set it before starting an engagement's intake if you want that engagement's deliverable drafted in a different language.
